Laura Stewart graduated from McMaster University with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy, and Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, including the Orthopaedic and Pain Sciences divisions. Laura enjoys treating a wide variety of clients and conditions from athletes to post-operative care to work-related aches and pains. She finds it particularly rewarding helping the aging population regain or maintain their optimal level of health and function. Laura enjoys her role as therapist and educator, and has a firm foundation in current clinical research and evidence based practice. Her client-centred treatment style is a combination of manual therapy, exercise, education, and other pain-management techniques. Laura believes that physiotherapy is a partnership, and prides herself on taking the time with her patients to ensure they fully understand their injury and proposed treatment plan.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys travel off the beaten path, is an avid movie-goer, and participates in various forms of dance.
